Build **The Review Diaries**, a premium, fully responsive book-review and reading-journal web app. Tagline: *Every book leaves a story. Every reader keeps a diary.*

**DESIGN**
Create a complete vintage dark-academia aesthetic inspired by antique libraries, old manuscripts, and literary journals. Use forest green (#24382D), deep olive (#374638), warm parchment (#F4EBDD), aged paper (#D9C7A8), walnut brown (#49352B), muted burgundy (#702D3A), and antique gold (#B39A66). Use elegant serif typography such as Cormorant Garamond or Playfair Display for headings and readable typography for body text. Add subtle paper textures, book-inspired illustrations, delicate borders, classic ornaments, warm lighting effects, and refined animations. Avoid generic SaaS layouts, neon colors, excessive gradients, and childish graphics. The result must feel timeless, sophisticated, immersive, and beautifully crafted.

**CORE FEATURES**
1. **Landing page:** Editorial hero section, featured books, latest public reviews, reading-community introduction, and elegant calls to action.
2. **Authentication:** Sign up, sign in, sign out, and individual user profiles.
3. **Personal dashboard:** Welcome message, reading statistics, recent diary entries, currently reading, and reading goals.
4. **Bookshelf:** Beautiful book-cover grid with search, sorting, filters, and categories for Want to Read, Currently Reading, Read, and Abandoned.
5. **Review diaries:** Create, edit, save, publish, and delete diary entries. Each entry belongs to a book and includes a title, review, rating, favorite quotes, personal reflections, reading dates, and optional tags.
6. **Privacy:** Every diary entry must independently support Private or Public visibility. Private entries must never appear in discovery, public profiles, search results, or other users' views.
7. **Discover:** Explore public reviews, books, readers, genres, and featured literary collections.
8. **Book details:** Display the cover, title, author, description, genre, and associated public reviews. Allow manual book entry and integrate a book-data API if supported.
9. **Reader profiles:** Display a biography, favorite genres, public diaries, reading statistics, and bookshelf highlights.
10. **Reading list:** Save books for future reading and track reading progress.
11. **Statistics:** Track books completed, total diary entries, average ratings, favorite genres, monthly reading activity, and yearly reading goals.
12. **Settings:** Edit profile, manage privacy, change preferences, and provide account deletion and data export where supported.
13. **Community:** Add likes, comments, and reader follows only if they can be implemented reliably and securely.

**PAGES**
Create dedicated, connected pages for Home, Discover, Book Details, Public Review, Reader Profile, Sign In, Sign Up, Dashboard, My Bookshelf, My Diaries, New Diary Entry, Edit Diary Entry, Reading List, Statistics, and Settings. Include navigation, a footer, loading states, empty states, validation messages, and friendly error handling.

**FUNCTIONAL REQUIREMENTS**
All buttons, forms, filters, navigation links, and interactive elements must work. Persist user-created data using a real database or a suitable supported backend. Implement authentication and server-side authorization. Never rely on hiding private content in the frontend alone. Autosave drafts only when persistence is supported, and clearly indicate saving status. Use responsive layouts for desktop, tablet, and mobile. Follow accessibility best practices.

**TECHNOLOGY**
Use the platform's supported full-stack framework, database, and authentication integrations. Prefer React with TypeScript and a secure backend. If Java Spring Boot and MongoDB are supported, use them; otherwise choose the most reliable supported alternative. Keep the architecture maintainable and suitable for future expansion.

**DELIVERABLE**
Build the actual working application, not just a landing-page mockup. Prioritize the vintage design, bookshelf, diary editor, authentication, data persistence, and privacy controls. Use realistic sample books and reviews for the initial preview. Do not claim a feature works unless it does. If a backend integration is unavailable, clearly identify the limitation and provide a functional prototype without pretending that demo data is securely stored.

Make the experience feel like entering a private antique reading room that gradually opens into a thoughtful literary community. Every screen should feel consistent, polished, immersive, and production-minded.
