Create “Buddy” — A Virtual Pet Game by RobotBuddy 🤖💙

Build a fully functional, adorable virtual pet game called Buddy, made by RobotBuddy.

🎮 The Concept

The player gets their own little robot buddy that they can pat, feed, and message. The buddy reacts to the player’s actions, shows emotions, and feels like a friendly companion.

The game should feel cozy, fun, interactive, and alive — not just a static screen.

🤖 1. Your Buddy

* Create a cute little blue-and-white robot with a round head, big expressive blue eyes, and tiny arms and legs.
* Give the robot idle animations, blinking eyes, happy reactions, and cute movements.
* Make the buddy react differently depending on the player’s actions.
* Display the buddy’s name and let the player rename it.
* Add friendship, happiness, and hunger meters.
* Save the buddy’s progress automatically.

🫳 2. Pat Your Buddy

Add a big Pat button.

* When the player presses it, the robot reacts happily.
* Animate the robot leaning into the pat, bouncing, or waving.
* Display friendly messages like “Hehe! That feels nice!” or “Beep boop! Thank you! :D”
* Increase the friendship and happiness meters.
* Add subtle hearts or small happy effects.

🍎 3. Feed Your Buddy

Add a Feed button that opens a food menu.

Include fun foods such as:

* 🍎 Apple
* 🍪 Cookie
* 🍓 Strawberry
* 🧁 Muffin
* 🔋 Robot energy snack

When the player chooses food:

* Animate the robot eating.
* Show a happy reaction.
* Reduce hunger and increase happiness.
* Include different reactions for different foods.
* Give the player a simple way to earn or collect more food through play.

💬 4. Message Your Buddy

Add a Message button that opens a chat screen.

* Let the player type messages to their buddy.
* Give the buddy a friendly, playful robot personality.
* Show messages in rounded chat bubbles.
* Include typing animations and conversation history.
* Make the buddy respond intelligently using a real AI backend when available.
* Without an AI connection, provide varied, context-appropriate preset responses instead of pretending AI is connected.

Example conversation:

Player: “Hi buddy!”

Buddy: “Beep boop! Hiii! :D I’m happy you’re here!”

Player: “Are you hungry?”

Buddy: “A tiny snack sounds lovely! Do you have a cookie? 🤖”

Player: “You’re my friend.”

Buddy: “That’s really nice of you to say! I’m glad we can hang out. 💙”

🏡 5. Buddy’s Room

Create a cozy room where the robot lives.

Include:

* A bed or charging station.
* Toys and decorations.
* A food bowl or snack shelf.
* A window with a peaceful background.
* Unlockable decorations and room themes.

Allow players to personalize the room as they progress.

🌟 6. Friendship System

The buddy remembers the player’s progress within the game.

* Patting and feeding increase friendship.
* Messaging allows the player to get to know the buddy.
* Add friendship levels with fun names such as New Friend, Good Friends, and Best Buddies.
* Unlock small animations, accessories, and decorations as friendship grows.
* Never punish players for taking a break or make them feel guilty for not playing.

🎨 7. Visual Design

Use a polished, modern, cute 3D aesthetic.

* Blue-and-white robot mascot.
* Soft blue, white, and pastel accents.
* Rounded buttons and smooth cards.
* Gentle lighting and subtle shadows.
* Smooth animations and satisfying interactions.
* Clear icons and readable text.
* Responsive layouts for phones, tablets, and computers.

The robot should look adorable but not overly childish. The overall experience should be cozy, friendly, and relaxing.

🔊 8. Sound and Animation

* Optional soft button sounds.
* Gentle eating sounds.
* Cute robot sound effects.
* Optional “beep boop” voice.
* Toggle all sounds on or off.
* Respect device accessibility and reduced-motion settings.

💾 9. Technical Requirements

* Build a working game, not merely a visual mockup.
* Every button must perform its intended action.
* Implement functional pet interactions, meters, food selection, messaging, and navigation.
* Save progress locally and restore it when the player returns.
* Include loading indicators and error handling where needed.
* Make the interface touch-friendly and responsive.
* Keep API keys secure on the server if AI services are used.
* Test all core interactions and fix bugs before finishing.

🏆 Final Goal

Create a delightful virtual pet game where players can pat their robot buddy, give it food, chat with it, decorate its room, and build a friendship over time.

The game should feel like having a tiny friendly robot companion of your own.
