Build a Complete MovieVerse Website
Create a complete, modern, mobile-first movie discovery website named MovieVerse. Build the website from scratch with a polished interface inspired by the overall experience of modern movie discovery apps like Movie Box. Use original styling and do not copy proprietary assets.
IMPORTANT:
Build a complete working website, not just a mockup or screenshot.
Keep all features listed below.
Make the mobile experience the highest priority.
Use free tools and sample data wherever possible.
Do not require paid APIs, subscriptions, or API keys to run the basic website.
Generate the actual project files and show a working preview.
1. Visual Design
Create a premium cinematic design with:
Deep black and charcoal backgrounds.
Dark red accents with subtle gold highlights.
Large, attractive movie posters.
A cinematic featured banner at the top.
Modern typography and readable text.
Rounded poster cards and subtle animations.
Smooth horizontal scrolling movie rows.
Beautiful loading states and empty states.
Responsive layouts for Android phones, tablets, and desktops.
The design should feel like a real movie discovery app, not a generic business website.
2. Home Page
Create a home page with:
MovieVerse logo and header.
Featured movie banner with backdrop image.
Featured movie title, short description, rating and release year.
Watch Trailer and More Info buttons.
Trending Movies section.
Popular Movies section.
Latest Releases section.
Popular Web Series section.
Action, Comedy, Horror, Romance and Anime sections.
Language-based movie sections.
Large movie posters in horizontally scrollable rows.
Use sample movie data and working image URLs where available. Show a fallback image if a poster fails to load.
3. Bottom Navigation
Add a fixed mobile bottom navigation bar with five working items:
Home
Discover
Search
Downloads
My List
Requirements:
Use attractive icons and text labels.
Highlight the currently selected tab.
Make every navigation item functional.
Keep the navigation bar visible on mobile.
Add sufficient bottom padding so it never covers page content.
On desktop, use an appropriate responsive header or navigation layout.
4. Discover and Search
Create a Discover page with:
Search input for movie and web series titles.
Instant search results.
Genre filters.
Language filters.
Sorting options for rating, release year and popularity.
A responsive movie poster grid.
A friendly message when no results are found.
Search and filters must work together.
5. Language Support
Support these five languages:
Hindi
English
Telugu
Tamil
Korean
Add working language filters and show the language on movie cards and details pages. Use accurate sample language labels where known. Do not label every movie as available in every language.
6. Movie Categories
Include these categories:
Action
Comedy
Horror
Romance
Anime
Create category pages or functional filters that show relevant movies. Allow users to open a category and browse its titles.
7. Movie and Web Series Details
When a user taps a poster, open a polished details page or modal showing:
Movie or series poster.
Backdrop image.
Title.
Synopsis or story.
Rating.
Release year.
Duration or episode information when available.
Language.
Genre.
Cast and director when available.
Official Watch Trailer button.
Legal streaming options when available.
Add to My List button.
Use sensible fallback messages when information is unavailable.
8. Official Trailer Playback
Add official YouTube trailer playback.
Use valid trailer URLs when available.
Open or embed the trailer safely.
Show a helpful message if no verified trailer is available.
Do not invent trailer URLs.
Do not autoplay sound.
9. My List / Saved Movies
Create a working favorites system:
Users can add movies and series to My List.
Users can remove saved titles.
Show saved items on the My List page.
Persist saved items with browser localStorage.
Keep saved items after refreshing the page.
Show a useful empty state when the list is empty.
10. Downloads and Legal Streaming
Create a Downloads page with:
Legal download options only when a verified authorized source provides them.
Links to official streaming platforms where available.
Clear messages when a legal download is unavailable.
No pirated movie links or unauthorized copies.
No fake download buttons.
Do not claim that a movie is downloadable unless the source confirms it.
11. Web Series
Support both movies and web series:
Separate Movies and Series browsing options.
Search across both types.
Show series seasons and episode details only when reliable data is available.
Include series posters and descriptions.
Allow series to be added to My List.
12. Sample Data
Include a useful sample catalog of movies and web series.
Use a consistent data structure with fields such as:
id
title
type
poster
backdrop
description
rating
releaseYear
duration
languages
genres
cast
director
officialTrailerUrl
officialStreamingLinks
legalDownloadUrl when available
Do not fabricate verified ratings, cast information, trailer links, or download availability. Use clearly identified sample data or omit unknown information.
Keep all movie data in a separate file so it can easily be updated later.
13. Technical Requirements
Build a functional React and TypeScript application if supported.
Use clean, reusable components.
Use a responsive CSS framework or well-structured CSS.
Ensure navigation, search, filters, poster clicks and favorites work.
Use localStorage for the watchlist.
Do not require a backend for the basic demo.
Do not require paid APIs.
Avoid unnecessary dependencies.
Handle broken images and missing information gracefully.
Keep code organized and easy to maintain.
14. Final Quality Check
Before finishing:
Run the project build and fix compilation errors.
Check all pages and navigation items.
Test search and combined language and genre filters.
Test adding and removing saved movies.
Test the website on mobile-sized screens.
Check that the bottom navigation does not cover content.
Check trailer and streaming links where available.
Remove non-functional buttons and placeholder actions.
Show the completed working preview.
FINAL GOAL:
Deliver a complete, attractive, mobile-first MovieVerse movie discovery website with a premium dark cinematic interface, large movie posters, a featured banner, functional bottom navigation, search, five supported languages, five genres, movie and series details, official trailers, a persistent watchlist, and legal streaming and download options.
Build the actual website files and make the preview work. Do not return only instructions or a design description.
