Abandoned cart recovery

Automatically win back shoppers who leave items in their cart.

What it does

When a shopper adds items but doesn't finish checking out, GenMB automatically emails them to bring them back and win the sale. Reminders go out on a gentle schedule - about 2 hours after they leave, again the next day, and once more after 3 days - and stop the moment someone buys or cancels, so no one gets a pointless nudge.

How to turn it on

Ask in chat - for example, "send abandoned cart recovery emails to shoppers who don't check out." GenMB wires it into your store's checkout for you. You can also ask to change the wording or send the emails from your own address.

Sending the same reminder twice is safe - GenMB makes sure each shopper only gets one nudge per stage, even if checkout events arrive more than once.

FAQs

When are reminders sent?
Up to three reminders go out after a shopper leaves: about 2 hours later, then 1 day later, then 3 days later. Each one checks the cart first, so anyone who already bought or canceled is skipped and never gets a nudge.
Can I customize the email content?
Yes. Ask in chat to change the wording, subject line, or branding of the recovery emails, and bring your own email provider (Resend / Postmark / SendGrid) if you want them sent from your own address.
